Our Business

Northern Quality Dental was established November of 2007 when Dr. Benjamin Seymour acquired the practice from Dr. Les Adkin.  Dr. Seymour is working together with his experienced staff to offer patients exciting new services. 

Who We Are

Dr. Ben Seymour

Ben Seymour spent most of his childhood in Houghton Lake, Michigan.  He attended Ferris State University before entering the Indiana University School of Dentistry, receiving his D.D.S. degree in 2006. While attending dental school, he met and married his wife Jennifer White, who is also a dentist at the practice now.  Upon graduation they moved to Big Rapids, Michigan and were both associates at a large office.  Dr. Seymour always knew he wanted his own practice and the dream became a reality when he learned that Dr. Adkin's practice was for sale.  The closeness of the small staff and patients dedicated to their oral health was exactly what he was looking for.

Dr. Seymour is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Cadillac Jaycees.  Dr. Seymour enjoys spending time with his family - Jennifer, Turbo, Luci, Mia, and Rhino.  He also enjoys snow and water skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding, working out and spending time in his garage (fabricating with wood and metal).  He is also excited to meet his first child due in April!

Dr. Jen White - dentist

Jennifer White was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana (our import).  She attended Indiana University in Bloomington before entering Indiana University School of Dentistry, receiving her D.D.S. degree is 2006 alongside Dr. Seymour.  After leaving the Big Rapids practice, she spent some time working in Grand Rapids, but now works part-time in White Cloud with Dr. John Schondelmayer at Lifecare Dental when she is not with us.  Dr. White is also a member of the ADA, MDA, and AGD.   She also enjoys spending time with the family, snowmobiling, cooking, snow and water skiing, fishing and golfing.  She also enjoys the quiet time she gets when Dr. Seymour is in the garage.  She is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first child in April!

Michelle Schopieray - office coordinator

Michelle is the office coordinator/manager of Northern Quality Dental. Michelle has been in the dental field for five years.  She married Jeff in May of 2007.  She enjoys golfing, spending time with her pug, Bailey, who happens to be Rhino's sister, and is the Vice President of Individual Development for the Cadillac Jaycees. 

Julie Hamilton - dental assistant

Julie has been a dental assistant for nearly 20 years.  She is married to Jeff and has two kids - Mitchell and Jaylyn. 

 Danielle Holt - certified dental assistant

 Danielle has been an assistant for many years.  She assists Dr. White on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but is glad to help out where ever she is needed.  She is married to Troy and they have two daughters - Rory and Reese.

Brian Rasmussen - registered dental hygienist

Brian has been a hygienist for 13 years.  He is married to Ardy and has two adult children - Eric and Colton.  He enjoys hunting, fishing and camping.

Kim Fulmerhouser - registered dental hygienist

Kim has been a hygienist for 8 years.  She has two little girls - Payton and Morgan.  She enjoys outdoor sports, horseback riding and scrapbooking.  She is also known as "Fluoride Mom" in Leroy, where she kindly donates her time to provide fluoride treatments for the youngsters.

Lori Welsh - registered dental assistant

Lori has been a dental assistant for over 30 years. She has lived in Cadillac her whole life where she raised two boys - Ashton and Keegan. She also enjoys golf, bike, cross country ski and anything that involves the outdoors.
